Partial Excerpts from the wedding photography book:

Wedding Traditions - Planning

Wedding ceremonies are heaped in traditions and superstitions. As you learn about the wedding plans from the couple be sure to ask about any special traditions they intend to follow.  Knowing what traditions they are planning to use will mean better wedding photography coverage from you.
For example:

  • The Catholics often present flowers to the Virgin Mary. This is a great time to be at a good place to capture the image.

Create a ‘Image List’ and Review it with the Couple

Most couples’ don't really know what they want in the way of planned photographs. There is a list at the end of this book which can help you and the couple plan.

Lens Characteristics

All lenses have characteristics which create differences in the way an image will be captured. These capture characteristics vary from lens design to lens design. Understanding your lens will help you know what you can and can't do with your equipment.

Generally speaking each focal length lens has inherent characteristics.  These characteristics, combined with your camera's design, will determine what your final images look like.

25 years of wedding photography experience is yours to know within this book. I have photographed everything from Jewish Weddings to Hindu weddings and I am ready to share this knowledge with you.

Let's get one thing straight. I am not going to tell you that you will become rich photographing weddings. Your success is based upon your dedication, desire, and how seriously you pursue this income source. I can tell you that when I am photographing a wedding I am making approximately $90 an hour in the Central United States. I consider this a fair rate for spending part of my weekends.

This is more than an ebook. It is a support system for people who want to make extra money in this exciting field. The book provides you with a basis to know what planning questions to ask, photography considerations, and marketing ideas.

Earlier I mentioned that the book was a support system. When you purchase the book you will have access to a non-public website where people like you can ask questions and share experiences with me and other people who have bought the book. You may ask, "Why is this different from other wedding photography forums on the internet?" The answer is simple. The website is dedicated to people just like you. I want you to succeed.

From time to time I'll add information to the site which can help you with your wedding photography. You will also be able to post some of your favorite images and ask for feedback.

At present, the site has additional downloads for posing guides and contracts. It also has more wedding photgraphs complete with critiques of what made a great photograph, what could have been done better, and special notes on how it was taken.

There will also be other free items to help you with your new business venture.

All this for only $18!
